VISION:

WE ENVISION A WORLD IN WHICH ALL LEARNERS ARE EQUIPPED TO EXCEL IN A GLOBAL SOCIETY.

“We can, whenever and wherever we choose, successfully teach all children whose schooling is of interest to us. We already know more than we need to do that.

Whether or not we do it must finally depend on how we feel about the fact that we haven’t so far.”

-Ron Edmonds, Harvard University

This quote from 1979 is the driving force behind our efforts to provide a new and innovative public school opportunity for the children and families that call Birmingham home. We believe, as did Dr. Edmonds, that ALL children can learn when provided rigorous academic expectations, a nurturing learning environment, and a highly prepared, resourced and supported teacher. This is the core of I3 Academy.
